As men we all have something to give, whether it be volunteering our time to a worthwhile cause, helping someone in need, or donating money or goods to your favourite charity. 

Giving is your opportunity to give back to society, and by doing so makes us feel good about ourselves.

However, we first must take care of ourselves to ensure we have enough to give to others. Sometimes we neglect ourselves at the expense of our own well-being, and that is never a good thing.

The reason why HIMBody was created stems from the problems associated with Toxic Masculinity. As men, we have been taught and conditioned in almost every culture to be tough, resilient, and hide our emotions. Thus, when we are struggling mentally, we internalize it, diminish it, or flat out try and ignore it. In very few cases we can manage and cope, but more and more it is becoming apparent that this is not healthy for our long-term health.

By taking care of ourselves and being honest about our mental health – whether it be stress, anxiety, depression or other struggles.

If there is one thing to remember, it is this – we don’t exercise and take care of our physical health only when we are physically weak and ill. The same goes for our mental health and thus why this site is for every man – we must continually “exercise” our brains and bodies to maintain our mental well-being and health.
